Zombi

So what do we have here then? Take 70's Tangerine Dream, stir in some soundtrack Goblin and top with some nice spacey rock rhythms. Decidedly retro but who cares really?

What I really like about them is that they sound like 70's/80's Horror/Sci Fi soundtracks which I have a penchant for.

Surface To Air is said to be their best release but I only have Cosmos ATM which I'm liking a lot.

Yeah, Surface To Air is definitely their masterpiece, but you really can't go wrong with any Zombi release. I heard that they might be expanding their lineup to include broader instrumentation in future releases, which could be cool also. :tramp:

Damn, Jackhammer that sounds pretty freaking fantastic!

Not Zombi but another musician peddling a similar homage to the classic 70's synth soundtrack vibe:

So so good.

New Zombi release out in the last couple of weeks 'Escape Velocity' and I am very disappointed. The synths are still there but the tempo has risen almost to the point that many songs like bad disco instrumentals :(

Just listened to the first video you posted in this thread, definitely going to check them out now. I love Goblin so this seems right up my alley.

I feel the same brotha'. Looks like that magic from their debut and Surface To Air is just about fizzled out. :/
