For such a great music forum that this is, I kinda expected there to be more [rabid] Ozrics fans.....
Top five bands of all time for me. Wow Haven't seen this yet, this is rare... Edit: Ah, some Pongmaster's footage Last edited by Mrd00d; 02-05-2011 at 12:44 PM. |

I have around 10 of their albums. Great band indeed. I'm so glad I came across them to kick off 2011, I'm ****ing thankful for searching up Instrumental Prog-Rock on last.fm. I thought it was to good to be true for them to be an all instrument band, but I looked them up and I just about screamed. They are already on my top 3 favorite bands, there music causes major eargasms. More love for the Ozrics here!!

Some love for Ozric Tentacles....
I have been listening to this band again recently and I must say they are really great musicians. It is easy to look down on space/prog rock for a lot of people but the muscianship is second to none and Ozrics set themselves apart with a rare an wonderful take on it IMO. Love the way they weave a mixture of cascading psychedelic guitar soloing with ambient, ethnic sounds, trippy synths and mix up into something which works a s a whole.
The guitarist Ed Wynne is nothing less than a master axeman. I can recommend either their latest cd or dragging your forgetton cd's out from the early 90's. cheers everyone. |

Hey I just did a search and found this, I could not agree more.
fantastic group, never got the respect they deserve and still going ! Complex, interesting, something for eveyone, relaxing, uplifting and exhilarating. one of the best bands in the world IMO, they have an incredible back catalogue. If you visit their website you will be greeted with some free music courtesy of a player on the site. |

They really need to start touring, at least just once in California, specifically San Diego : P I got one of their concerts from Netflix but I couldn't play it, it was in some weird foreign format.
Their music fucks with my mind! How the hell do they come up with the name of, well, everything? |

Live at the Pongmaster's Ball? I dloaded it, it's amazing. You should definitely try again.
Ozrics was playing... Seattle I think... one day on the west coast and then back to Europe >.> We may get a chance to see them. But if they come within 9 hours, best take a roadtrip. |
