I once had to sit through some friend of a friend's art dance thing where the entire hour-long show was set to that album. It was like that bit in THe Big Lebowski where they go see the Dude's landlord dance (except that guy had a way better taste in music and picked Mussorgsky as the soundtrack)

Regardless of how great Dark Side was, the Wall will always be better. Piper is a great album too, the beginning of interstellar overdrive is so badass. Saucerful is great too, especially that last song (Jugband Blues) is so sad and really sums up Barrett's story. But honestly, Wish you were here was not as good. Felt overhyped for me. Also More was straight up ass lol.

no Roger Waters and no Rick Wright = No Pink Floyd.
Im a huge fan of Floyd. One of the few bands where I own all of their records, but after The Wall, theyre a different band. A band that is nowhere near as good as they once were. I for one am not that excited for this new LP, but Ill give it a shot. |

I'd rather have Waters in my Floyd for sure, but I'm not a purist, I think the dismissal of post-Waters Floyd is unfair since I think Division Bell and Pulse were both pretty good efforts.
Wasn't a fan of Endless River as it really did feel like it was just a bunch of unfinished scraps, but I'm down for a new record of written material from Gilmour, no Waters isn't a dealbreaker for me, the lack of Wright however could be. Wright was such a key part of their sound that no I can't really call it Pink Floyd without him, this is clearly going to be a Gilmour record with the Floyd brand, but here's hoping it'll still be decent.
