So am I the only one here who realizes that about 50% of Wish You Were Here (the long opening and closing tracks) is filler?

Fave Pink Floyd album Animals - I don't want go for the most obvious choice Dark Side of the Moon which was their magnus opus.

I agree with you on that. Wish You Were Here is one of the few Pink Floyd albums I can get through without getting too bored out of my mind because the story is good enough to push through the entire album.

Wasn't Waters the one who got way too personal while recording The Wall? He had the "I am Pink Floyd" mentality. The band didn't leave him, he left them.
