Although it's a German river, Nektar are a British band. Not exactly in the front rank of prog bands, I think their music deserves a little more than the zero recognition they seem to receive these days. This is a track from their live-in-the-studio double album (1974):-

Brought out my Placebo LPs to spin.
A bit like a Belgian version of Soft Machine.
Features the late Marc Moulin.
