While Meddle is not my favourite album if theirs, Echoes is hands down Floyd's best song.

See Emily Play. It's perfect hippy song but it still has great and catchy melody. Syd voice sounds great too.

Meddle is kinda PF's Tarkus IMO. Should've been a one side album. 'Cept the weak sine of Meddle is better than the weak side of Tarkus.
