So far I've seen no mention of Andersen, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe, which I believe to be quite an underrated little chestnut.

One of my friends recommended the album Drama by Yes a couple of years back and it had a couple of songs that were okay, the album itself was disappointing. Fish Out of Water by Chris Squire has always been one of my favorite solo albums. Most all of the members of Yes have solo albums from the 70s that are worth giving a listen. Journey To The Center Of The Earth by Rick Wakeman is a fairly good album. Steve Howe has always been one of my favorite guitarist and he might be a little underrated in the polls in my opinion.

I went with CTTE because I still give it a spin every year or so. There was a time in the 70's that I really loved YES. The last great YES show I saw was the Going For The One tour. The In The Round tour was so-so and that was in 78 or 79. I did not see another Yes show until 99 (?) at the Warfield in SF with Howe, Squire, Anderson, Wakeman and not sure who sat behind the kit? It was fun but not earth shaking. By far the best YES related disc I have heard in years is Steve Howe" Portraits of Bob Dylan ". The guitar work is masterful with a splendid mix of Tommorow and YES. It also boasts vocals by P.P Arnold, Annie Haslem, Phoebe Snow, Keith West among others. But the main reason I am posting is because I have meet folks that saw the 77 tour at different venues and we all agree that weirdness followed that tour.It was not your usual Walk on the Rings of Saturn ! It was the shows with Donovan opening. Any others out there with any reports from the Cosmos?

I'm surprised Close to the Edge doesn't hold the majority of votes...

Close to the Edge

I believe the fact that UNION is my favorite Yes album makes me unique among Yes fans.
|
No it doesn't. I like Union, Big Generator and 90125 before all the older albums (though in fairness I've heard very few), also ABWH is as Satchmo says a very underrated masterpiece.
Let the shitstorm begin! :shycouch: |

Love all of their 70s work but Close to the Edge is my fave.
