Which is a bit ironic, all things considering.

Never heard of S.F. Sorrow. For me it's Piper.

Listen to it, imo its superior to Piper as its the crowning achievement of the Pretty Things, wheras Piper is hardly the crowning achievement of Pink Floyd.

S.F. Sorrow for me.
Not because I like the Pretty Things more than The Beatles.
But just because I think S.F. Sorrow is brilliant and Pepper's is "Quite allright".
Should you have included Abbey Road or Rubber Soul, things would be different.

The reason "Sgt.Pepper`s" was chosen is because its a psychedelic album, because The two other choices are psychedelic as well.

Yeah, I sorta figured.
Just wanted to point out that it's not like I dislike the Beatles or Floyd :)

Uneven comparasation, I'd say. "Pepper" is my natural choice and not just because of my own opinion but for the fact that it happened to be cooked up by the greatest band in history, as well as that it opened up a whole new world of conceptuality. It's stronger than me, it's that simple.

Regarding "Piper" and "Sorrow" I'd much rather compare them to albums like "Disraeli gears", "Are you experienced?" or "The Doors" as the competition is a bit more even as well as the stylistics are more alike.

Not familiar with "Sorrow," and although I would take PF any day over the Beatles, "Piper" is completely a period piece. It sounds dated and even silly now. St. Pepper easily gets my vote on this one.

Ouch. That posting hurts in probably every possible way.
Altough I must say that Pepper isn't my favourite beatle album by far :D.

All three of them sound extremely dated. The key factor for me is that Piper is still a great album that I can listen to all the way through without getting bored to tears, unlike with either of the other albums.
