Default Comus

Well it was only a matter of time before I made this thread really, but I can't believe I have neglected it so long.

Of the people here who know of/have been introduced to Comus I don't think I've heard a single complaint, they have had a long lasting influence on a wide range of genres. From Current 93 to Opeth.

Their album First Utterance has an RYM rating of 4.14 from over 1000 reviews.

They're basically the bomb.

And as always, if you're interested in checking them out just PM or state an interest here

I can't believe there isn't already a thread on them. From the handful of songs I've heard.. I must agree, they are indeed the bomb.

The Herald is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. The rest of the album, while not beautiful in the traditional sense, is almost as good.

this is bullshit. i've read people raving about how unique this is, and so i listened to what you posted and it just sounds like the b52's with fiddles.

How does Diana remotely resemble the B-52's, with or without fiddles?

I already got a hold of it some time ago, but I've yet to listen to it. Something to do tomorrow in the lab, I guess.

Only if you plan on running around smashing test tubes and assaulting people with vernier callipers.

Well then I'll have to do something about that!

Make sure to give the whole thing a spin it meanders about for awhile before getting true direction and then it is brilliant.
