Their debut is rooted more in jazz/avant-garde fusion. Reminds me of Frank Zappa often. Some of the bass lines were amazing to say the least
Great Jazz-Fusion/Avant-garde album. I wouldn't consider it "Zeuhl" yet. Even their second record is very good, but more of a transition album. Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh is where the weirdness starts! A blend of so many genres and the songs have quite a repetitive structure. There are some of the jazz elements, but it doesn't feel Jazzy at all. Well, you could just call it Magma or Zeuhl i guess Yeah, definitely listen to 1001° Centigrades next or just jump onto Destruktiw Kommandoh. |

Magma is simply WIN, though I only have their debut album right now in my playlist. I've listened to tracks from some of their later records on YouTube though. Godly stuff...

Check pms.
I've upped Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh. Let me know if anyone else is interested. The lyrics, well, It's all in a made up language(Kobaian) and i honestly have no idea what these songs mean, but even that adds to the experience. Just think of the vocals/lyrics as another instrument or feel free to make up your own meaning |
