I saw that and decided to get it, now I'm almost halfway through and it really impressed me already!
I haven't really heard much psych yet, but I have some Jefferson Airplane records for some time now, and getting into it more and more I already love Private Sorrow and ballon burning is great aswell anyway, thanks for the tip! |

As for the Beatles the Anthology version of "Norwegian Wood" that sounds like the start of their psychedelic sound. I never got the American connection to be honest. I think their biggest American influences where the Byrds, Dylan and the Beach Boys but I don't really hear their influence on the Beatles psychedelic sound. |

totallyfuzzy.blogspot.com aswell if that doesn't help. check PM Totally forgot about Skip Spence, I've been listening to Oar all day. Imagine if he'd actually got to hack Moby Grape to bits, the album would never have been made |

Freak Out is pretty great. I'd say it's more experimental/avant garde rock/doo wop/blues than psychedelic. |
