Because although he has quite a lot in his discography which doesn't appeal that much to me, he's quite diverse and every now and then I find a little gem by him which I like.
That last one is with Les Claypool and "Brain" from Primus.

Ok, Kurt Cobain, Dave Navarro, Mike McCreedy, etc. Insert any number of grunge guitarists into my sentence, and my point remains the same: the guitarists you put on a pedestal are just plain boring when compared to Buckethead (whose technical abilities are not above and beyond any neoclassical shredder). And if you retort with "Buckethead only shreds, how is that not boring", you'll be as low as coryallen in my books.
Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!

Hey GJ
What IS corporate rock? All rock music on a major label? All rock music that's meant to have commercial appeal? Shouldn't Nirvana and Pearl Jam be considered corporate rock then? Either way. That would be excluding a lot of quality music. Not to mention "corporate rock sucks" is a ridiculous cliche. |

Id have to agree with Neil Young on this one.
"What has degraded what we now call «rock and roll» is not rock in itself, but rather « pop». Commercial product. It's an imitation, a pale ressemblance of what it once was. It's Perry Como compared to real rock. You remember how it started? There was real rock, then that other music that everyone listened to. Today, our parents listen to rock. It's over. Even if I'm a parent, OK. But that's how it is. "
