I dont like him. Ive listened to three of his albums now and the only word i can use to describe the music i hear is tacky. I appreciate the experimentation, the diversity from albuym to album etc, but it just does nothing but repel me. Im not huge on shredding and solo's anyway.

i think the problem is that when he deviates from a structured song (like say his ballads) it has the capacity to sound like self-indulgent wankery. and it happens on every album. for every Soothsayer there's a pile of garbage sitting next to it.

do you know who Jimi Hendrix is? do you know what he sounds like?

Buckethead sounds nothing, NOTHING like Hendrix and there are no elements which i could ever trace back to Hendrix's music. he's built along the lines of Prince, EVH, and Paul Gilbert more than anyone else. he doesn't draw from funk at all and not much psychedelia. where's the connection?

i swear you don't think before you post. you need to stop doing that.
