I dont like him. Ive listened to three of his albums now and the only word i can use to describe the music i hear is tacky. I appreciate the experimentation, the diversity from albuym to album etc, but it just does nothing but repel me. Im not huge on shredding and solo's anyway.

i think the problem is that when he deviates from a structured song (like say his ballads) it has the capacity to sound like self-indulgent wankery. and it happens on every album. for every Soothsayer there's a pile of garbage sitting next to it.

he's one hell of and artist/musician, but he's a bit too stiff for my liking
