I'm going to attempt to learn Willie the Pimp from Hot Rats. If I remember it all I'll record it =/

FRANK ZAPPA
The genius that is Frank Zappa. Here is a ten track taster for all the unitiated out there. Most of these tracks are taken from his STRICTLY COMMERCIAL album and are just that, for Zappa it is! The guy can play pretty much any genre sometimes even in the same song and excel at all of it. DON'T EAT THE YELLOW SNOW combines his trademark humour with a truly genre hopping sound. SEXUAL HARRASMENT IN THE WORKPLACE showcases his awesome guitar playing and DIRTY LOVE is a slab of funk tinged rock. Download now and enter the world of Zappa! Tracklisting: 1.DON'T EAT THE YELLOW SNOW 2.WILLIE THE PIMP 3.GOBLIN GIRL 4.DIRTY LOVE 5.MY GUITAR WANTS TO KILL YOUR MAMA 6.SAN BER'DINO 7.TROUBLE EVERY DAY 8.FINE GIRL 9.SEXUAL HARRASMENT IN THE WORKPLACE 10.VALLEY GIRL hxxp://www.badongo.com/file/7207867

What does everyone think of Hot Rats? It's an album of his that I quite enjoy that I rarely hear mentioned. If anyone wants a listen feel free to PM me.

I think people widely consider it one of his weaker albums just because its not as well-known as others.

i really disagree that it's considered one of his weaker albums. most lists of best album's i've seen have it on them as well as absolutely free, woiiftm, freak out, and the grand wazoo.
it's definitely his most respected jazz/rock album. |
