I only recently discovered A Perfect Circle only because I heard their song 'Passive' in the movie Constantine. They really remind me of the Cranberries in some ways? Does anyone agree? Ahh oh so melancholy, they have a cool website http://www.aperfectcircle.com/ I've not really heard much of Tool, I'm downloading some of their songs right now though...

How did you not hear about APC and Tool for so long? And, no, I don't see the resemblence to The Cranberries AT ALL. Please elaborate (although I'd recommend you to listen to more APC and Tool before making that comparison again).

Well EXCUSE moi for having a personal opinion. The reason I likened A Perfect Circle to The Cranberries is not as elusive as you make out. I'm not saying they are exactly the same sound, but there seems some similarties in my opinion. Especially if you listen to the 'No Need To Argue' album. The fusion of lingering vocals and instrumentals bares an uncanny resemblence to them that's all. If you don't hear it then hey not my problem

For the same reason you haven't heard of 'Nintin Sawhney'. What a question Believe it or not the music industry is VAST and one person is not able to listen to every artist or band in their entire life time. Well anyhow I do love their music, I'm glad I've finally got around to listening to them. I make no apologies for my ignorance I'm afraid

Tool and APC are quite a bit better known than "Nintin Sawhney" although you may not realize this.
