What is controllment?

Static-Fear-Shot 05-31-2005 07:39 PM

A figurative term of speech best kept to ones self!

ish 06-01-2005 01:24 AM

And this comes from SFS....maybe she should read what she writes first!!

lilbloodredridinghood 06-01-2005 10:06 PM

No, you're right. I think I was on drugs when I posted that. I have no idea what controllment means.

Spike*Spiegel 06-01-2005 10:10 PM

****ing brilliant in Tool. A professional ass-miner in APC.

MyOwnEulogy 07-01-2005 01:24 PM

Its obvious to say that Tool is the better choice. Compairing them would be unfair, for a perfect circle atleast. Maynard being the Total Perfectionist he is.

Music Is Pwnage 07-01-2005 04:03 PM

I started to like SOME apc, but Tool PWNS apc. PWNS!!!!!!

sleepy jack 11-19-2005 02:19 PM

A Perfect Circle did a really good cover of Imagine, those are my thoughts.

ladyluckrules 11-19-2005 02:21 PM

I love A Perfect Circle.
Songs like 3 Libras, The Hollow, The Noose.

Merkaba 11-19-2005 02:24 PM

Agreed Misfits, apc did Imagine way better.

Tool are wicked, people give them crap for a lot of stuff but the lyrics, vocals and drumming are second to none. And Justin and Adam are fantastic together on bass and guitar, they aren't technically fantastic but its all a part of the complete package.

APC were good until their last release, where it's turned into a political ****storm. But 13th Step and Mer De Noms are great albums.

Oh and Tools videos are art. Some of the only videos I've ever watched that don't completely suck arse.

And oui, eMOTIVe did suck a lot of balls.

Electric Eye 11-19-2005 06:22 PM

A perfect circle is great, now tool i don't really like them all that much.

Unfortunately I have to agree.
I prefer Maynard to the vocals of Lennon, which is the major part of me preferring APC's version.

sleepy jack 11-19-2005 09:55 PM

I dont think it has anything to do with the vocals the dark twist added to the song was what made it awesome.

boo boo 11-20-2005 12:26 AM

Lennons version >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> APCs version.

IMO.

Scarlett O'Hara 11-20-2005 01:39 AM

I love Tool. I also really like APC. I really got into Emotive when I first bought it, but now I'm over it. I love the whole war theme, I want everyone to know what a loser Bush is.

Cheese 11-20-2005 01:41 AM

I think they know already.

Scarlett O'Hara 11-20-2005 01:52 AM

Speak for yourself, sconeburner!

Kempson 11-20-2005 04:34 AM

I never liked Tool or APC, Maynard really annoys me, and the music never appealed to me.

Michikawa 11-20-2005 09:07 AM

Both are great and James is really good vocalist. A Perfect Circle is one band I'd love to see live. Tool I have seen once and it was really nice.

one_more_atrocity 11-20-2005 10:23 AM

i like both bands but prob go for Tool more just because i've heard more of there stuff really but i still really like latest Album of APC. btw Michikawa i think thats the first time anyones ever referred to a Tool gig as being ''nice''!!

cardboard adolescent 11-20-2005 10:24 AM

eMotive mostly bothered me because of what they did with Gimme Gimme Gimme and Let's Have A War.

Seen them

****ing fantastic to watch.

hookers with machineguns 11-20-2005 01:34 PM

They should have laws forbidding albums like eMotive being released after the 13th Step.

I'm not looking forward to any new material honestly. My dusty copies of Opiate and Aenima will be good enough.

bungalow 11-20-2005 01:51 PM

I like APC, not much of a Tool fan, they fall into that dreaded nu-metal category if you ask me

just not a big fan

I must disagree though with the fact that APC did Imagine better than Lennon

Lennon sings that song perfectly, APC made it all dark and in my opinion, boring, it wasnt supposed to be a dark anti-war song, It was supposed to be a "lets not get all mixed up with things that divide us like religion, and money, and forget that we are all humans"....they turned that whole sentiment around by making it a protest song of sorts.....Ive heard the song only 3 or 4 times and seen the video once, to me it seemed like an anti war song, I may be incorrect though

Merkaba 11-20-2005 01:57 PM

Nu-metal?

They've been doing it strong since 1990 for christ sake.

......and?

Merkaba 11-20-2005 02:57 PM

And they haven't been washed away in an attempt to create hard music that appeals to the masses. Their a progressive metal/rock band if anything.
