Pink Floyd, Hands Down. 100% No contest......Basically everything Pink Floyd (Waters Gilmour, Mason, Wright) has ever done as a foursome. Gilmour/Waters Solo stuff isn't as good. Also Syd Barrett is a Genious.
Echoes > Everything

Pink Floyd all the way.
Dream Theater are part of the reason that I chose the name "ihateguitarists" a while back. I can't stand that extremely obnoxious style of playing. Since when did playing the guitar become more of an athletic activity than a musical one? Just because you can play really fast doesn't mean you can write songs worth the crap. Dream Theater prove this. Not to mention, Pink Floyd are awesome! <3 |

Pink Floyd by a landslide.
I've always found Pink Floyd easier to listen to, plus their lyrical content and album themes were always good (excluding The Division Bell, I have no liking for that album). Whenever I listen to Pink Floyd I'm always relaxed and loving the music. Which I find hard to do with Dream Theater because of the insanely long songs and often times boring lyrical content. I'm 19. |

all members of dream theater are masters of their instrument.....but the lyrical content is really garbage....I mean i'm all for the 15-20-25 min EPIC songs, but once those lyrics kick in.......man that can make or break it.....And Echoes had Great Lyrics
