volta is bad ass. any band that frances devotes his name too.. i approve.

@ jackhammer if you like them check out 'at the drive in'. their members broke up to form the bands 'sparta' and 'mars volta'. i would start with the last and IMO best CD 'relationships of command'

True, but they still show a different culture. For most people, hearing a song in another language completely turns them off to it, but I think we should be more open to that kind of thing.

They don't sing all in a different language. In fact many of the songs on Amputechture are in english.

Just in case anyone was wondering I've think they are awesome and I listened to them when the some of the members were still in At the Drive-In, which is another awesome band.

"Omar Rodriguez-Lopez already has the next two albums laid out musically and is knee deep in production on the follow up to Bedlam. "its a mellow album" he says "the last one was our most aggressive. The next one we keep calling our acoustic album."

Omar is awesome. Also, I really look forward to hearing a mellow album.
