Default Here I am? Looking for a ong from early 2000s or earlier, high belting ladies voice

Trying to remember a song I listened to a lot on the radio around 2003 while studying in France, if that makes a difference. American or possibly British. I can’t for the life of me remember any of the lyrics but “here I am“ (really loud and powerful), “and now there’s you“, and “just when I needed you “ very soft at the end. Beautiful balad type song.
If I ever had it in my iTunes playlists, I’ve lost those a few laptops ago. Shazam and SoundHound are no help, and neither is Google.
Thanks so much!

Air Supply - nope, that’s not it.

Just one lady singing who sounded like she’d be one of the great divas.

You can tell that with your 22 posts, having been here for probably a few days, can you? Give me a break.

Your username is very appropriate, as it is in fact a myth that everyone here is dead. You just need to utter the magic incantation
FREE BEER AND DRUGS!
and they come stumbling out of dark corners, forests, shattered cities, out of cellars, from sewers... use those words wisely!

More like a few hours. When are you going to post your masterpiece, Paradox?
