JJ Cale is a great choice for a car journey: the chugging beat of his songs is just right. The Troubador album is his acknowledged best, and who am I to disagree with that?

Wonder if they recorded a studio version ?
Glad you liked it, Ayn ! Sorry, I don't know anything about the band, or what they have/haven't done in the studio.

Well, that's reassuring for me: the idea that perhaps I have some notion of what I am listening to. Thanks.

Instructions for listening to LA Woman:
1. Start car and turn on stereo
2. Depress clutch and engage first gear.
3. Move off and steadily accelerate through the Doors instrumental intro
4. Done correctly, you will be at cruising speed when Jim Morrison starts singing.
