I think they are a great band and one of the top synth acts of the 80s. With their latest album, they really sound pissed off with songs like "Where's the Revoultion" and it sounds much more raw their their prevoius albums. But they really have evolved as a band if you compare this music to say "I just can't get enough".
I hope to see them live one day. Dave Gohan is such a showman in terms of his whole stance on stage. |

Definitely a Yes!!
No one else has combined electro/synth with guitar as creatively/successfully as D.M., which also combines rock/pop/dance. Also a phenominal live act w/Dave Gahan being great frontman!-see Devotional tour (it's on youtube-don't know how to include in text)-staging and lighting by Andrew Corbijn other-worldly! I actually was surprised to find them under pop forum, esp. since I've seen D.M. posts/threads in alt/indie, but, I know there are plenty of bands who crossover (and they're usually the bands I favor...love genre-defying, or blending)
