Futuristic Retro-Pop

Okay so I am creating a playlist on Spotify with the best pop tunes that sound both futuristic and also harken back to the late 90's/early 00's, and I'm looking for suggestions. Here's some examples to whet the appetite:

Help a brother out :yeah:

Okay so this is a fucking hard specific sound to find (proven by how hard y'all tried and came up with nothing) so I'm just gonna make a futuristic pop playlist instead.

The hook not so much but the first part of the song before she introduces the hook is really cool

You're right, Clancy, this is a tough one. I like this jam from Femme though, Peaches vibes for certs.

I think I got a winner with this one

Edit: ^ That track definitely has the right kind of production but the vocals aren't right. Closer to Hip Hop/R&B. Good shit though. Same reason why I wouldn't put a Kitty track in this category.

Like those tunes but I think they just miss the mark in regards to sounding more "futuristic". It's a sound that I think will become quite substantial over the next few years due to the increasing popularity of the alternative pop sound. But at that point it will no longer be a "futuristic" sound, it will just be what pop sounds like lol

Also I'd say Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience has some tracks that would fit in.

Kinda at least.

I hear you

No Police is kind of retro-retro modern-retro but not really “futuristic”

At worst we can try to hit the spot and build a thread with some cool new stuff

I’ll keep trying

I don't think I have ever liked a song more than this:

Stanning more than Batty for Ke$ha. Funnily enough, if TiK ToK was released today I would probably post it in this thread :D
