i dont care if youre tired of hearing "be my escape" on the radio every 5 minutes. you gotta admit its a catchy toon. and for anyone who has bought any of their albums you will probably agree that relient k rocks. they're new album "mmhmm" has a ton of great songs on it as do their older ones.

"softer to me" and "staples" are a couple of my favs from that album.

Relient K is my favorite band. Period. I've been listening to them right from their first album. They rock, Matt Thiessen writes some great lyrics in my opinion. has anyone heard of his side project "Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes" ?? *yeah i know this thread is really old but whatever.

Because they play annoying generic pop music, the lyrics aren't funny and they use christianity as their gimick?

Christianity isn't their gimick. its their reason to make the music. what if they really believe it they're not just trying to make a buck.

I like some of their songs, their pretty cool.

I do admit that most of their songs aren't very meaningful and don't really have points, just music to make some quick cash, easy cd fillers, and the like, you know.

A few good songs though are "be my escape" and "Who I am hates who I've been". Their both the main songs played on the radio, and their very mainstream, but thats only because those are pretty much their only really good songs. The others are a little meaningless.

i've got their latest two cd's (not the x-mas album) and anyways... its great!
it's not something i'd rock out to, but it's perfect for when i just wanna chill and listen to some good tunes ^^

I love this band.

I hadn't heard of them until I had seen them live about three years ago. My friend dragged me to one of there concerts. Ever since then, I've been a huge fan.

Reliant K? Would they do Rock music with a gospel twist next? Interesting...
