I guess you could call me spoiled when I don't consider her music to be any of that except for virtuosity since she can babble out those notes real fast. There's just so much superior music out there. Why not listen to Aretha Franklin or Tina Turner, ya know?

I do now and then. Just like Mariah. They're all in the same class.

TBH, I personally am not a fan of the "overall genre," but I have a nostalgic weakness for Mariah and consider her a class above the others.

I can understand you finding her music boring and stuff, but do you really think she isn't a good singer?

@Whoever is hating on Mariah.

She is a class above the others because she basically is one of the originals to do that showboaty scale non sense. Yes there were singers before her but she is the staple that modern day singers site as inspiration.

I've mentioned a few times in here that she is virtuosic, but my philosophy is that you are not a good musician/vocalist/whatever if you can't make good music.

Your entire musical philosophy is grounded in your own personal tastes? Alright then.

I don't like peanut butter. Therefore, peanut butter sucks and anyone that likes it is dumb and has bad taste in spreadable foods.
