Considering how much influence Slayer had on At the Gates' guitarwork, by their own admission, I'd say that was far from true. I imagine In Flames took plenty of cues from Iron Maiden and other trad metal bands as well.

That was a nice little tune! I'd say it would more fit in late-60's BB's rather than Pet Sounds era, but I do see the resemblance.
