But nobody calls that Swedish death metal. Which makes sense, since most melodic death metal doesn't really sound at all like death metal while "Swedish death metal" does.

I like both death metal and swedish death metal and Göteborg style melodic death metal and melodic death metal. No genre offended any other genre in my eyes.

ABBA are not bad. There are a lot of good Scandinavian bands -- I can't think of Sweden without thinking of Norway and Finland, so I have to mention bands from there too.
