I attribute that fact to chubby chasers. The world is full of them and The Batlord is their leader.

(No problems chatting up crappy musicians though.)

Well if Batty is a chubby chaser then he'd hate to know that Adele has slimmed down a tad, so that chubby in his pants would become something more like a duddy.

@grindy

It's always been easy for me to talk with musicians I admire. Sissy.

I beg to differ.

Nea nails it for once.

And it'll get even better with every new album of yours.

*sigh* ...

I really don't see why this woman is so popular. I mean, she's not bad, but there's nothing particularly unique, unusual or outstanding about her and her music to warrant such outsized popularity.

- Hello is a decent song, but basically, it's a pretty standard power ballad. Same thing with Someone Like You and Skyfall.
- Rolling in the Deep sounds like any of a dozen Bonnie Raitt songs. How come Adele got to be a super-duper star singing such things, but Bonnie Raitt was resigned to middle-stardom?
- I just listened to Chasing Pavements and Set Fire to the Rain, and they're both so ... average.

Can someone tell me why the following woman was just of middling popularity ...

... While this woman is the Newest Incarnation of God(ess)?

Completely beyond me.

Because that's adult contemporary for rednecks?

A hospital waiting room I visited Saturday had not one but TWO magazines with artist Adele on the cover, (and in the exact same pose no less). This came as a shock to me as I'd last heard of this piece of **** hack back in my days of retail servitude where two of her abominations were played ad infinitum over the MUZAK public address for months on end. "Chasing Pavements" was utterly boring and instantly forgettable, hence the need to play it 50 times in an 8-hour shift, effectively carving it into the cranial matter of anyone unfortunate enough to be within earshot, and "Rumor Has It" was the most atrocious ear sodomy I'd experienced in the last decade.

The fact that this wretched woman has achieved such a preposterous level of fame and wealth is staggering, and speaks volumes of the barrel-scraping cultural low that the masses have sunk to.

Please die in a fire, Adelle. Thanks.
