Well, you can, but it doesn't make any sense to me. I'm almost thirty, so not a kid, and still I find some Linkin Park songs catchy, and frankly, rather good too. It's perspective. Well if you still find it catchy then it's good from your perspective. Thinking something is catchy is subjective. My music taste has changed a tiny bit since I was six years old, so I'm not really contradicting myself like you suggest I am.
