You can like a song but still consider it filler. There's lots of albums by my favorite artists where I like every song, but still be able to recognize that a few of the tracks were clearly put there to fill up space and are nowhere near the level of quality as the rest of the album.

Regardless of the truth, surely you would just cancel the contract if you were Sony? This kind of PR isn't good for them.

Doesn't say she has to work with the same producer to be fair, even if it is a really ****ty ruling.

It will be interesting to see how this will come across in her music. When you're down and out, those can be some of the greatest periods of creativiy. Or, it could also have the affect of making her hate the whole process with Sony, whereby she won't be motivated and will put out an inferior product.

She's what, scheduled to do another six albums under this contract? That's a lot of albums and a lot of years' work under a label for which you no longer want to work.
