It should be realistic in reason though. Goldfrapp would make a great pop band, but because they aren't R&B or EDM they get passed over.

No one would ever consider a band like say Death Grips, to realistically knock Rihanna off the charts.

Well that explains your position a little more. My wishes are rarely realistic.

It's not better, you just like it more. There is no room for objectivity in music unless you are directly comparing specifics qualities, and even then it's pretty hard. How do you objectively compare two guitarists or singers who have completely different styles? Who's better Jose Feliciano or Jimi Hendrix?

Are you referring to my post? I totally agree, but if it's about me I'm not sure where you're coming from.

EDIT: After some less half assed research I now see you're talking about WTB.

You got it. Couple more songs...

Gnarls Barkley blew up from Crazy and then that stupid Fuck You song, but I don't think those songs are nearly as good as their other songs which got no radio play.

and some La Roux is always welcome on my pop stations...

Its better because it's better composed, and makes more use of musical notes and natural talent.

That doesn't make it better. That makes you appreciate and enjoy it more.

Rihanna makes some great music btw. Albums are completely hit or miss though.

"Tik Tok" is better than all of the other three songs combined. Hail Ke$ha.

You're a punk fan and you can say this?

Well I haven't hear any yet, put her through pro tools and she's a singing gem, but so is Brittney Spears. (They both fall under the same category for me)

Anyways my musical opinion doesn't matter anymore, if your old enough to remember pop music in the 80's than you've become officially irrelevant.

Someone who was born during the grunge explosion is probably getting there University degree by now.

Would it help if I said that I think heavy metal is a technically superior genre of music :)

Hmmm, I don't know why, but I have funny suspicion you like Ke$ha for reasons outside her music.
