Lana Del Rey
I don't like this lady too much but this vido is provocative and weird
Asap rocky plays JFK what do you guys think of it? |
She sounds like she sings with duckface.
|
thats cuz she does
its her best characteristic for better or wose =/ |
I don't really care for her music, but this remix is awesome.
Anybody here able to make remixes? If so, please make a mashup of this song and The xx's Intro. It would be hella good. |

i like her quite a bit. she's got something unique going for her and she is very pretty tbf.
|
Born to Die is one of the best records of 2012.
|
i think her story is really inspiring. her albums a grower. i love her interviews.
|
I really like Lana Del Rey. She has a great, distinctive voice and her songs are insanely catchy. One of my favourite mainstream artists for sure.
Plus, she's hot. |
I'm not joking, somebody please make the remix i requested.
|
Dunno why, but Born to Die, despite its obvious status as politically and socially vapid and potentially regressive, is a really fun slab of pop. I didn't think it was so out of line when FACT compared it to 2012's version of MBDTF.
|
It's Lana del Rey
Great album, she's gonna re-release it with a few unreleased tracks in november. |

LDR sounded real good on Smiler's, "Big Spender", even though she was adlibs. lol Although production on Born to Die was beast! Diet Mountain Dew should be mixed.... |
I'm just saying those two would undoubtedly work.

and here is j dilla and katy perry (off topic :yikes:) |
Oh yeah buddy. But I really wanna see that mashup. Please make it.
|
i MUCH prefer her recorded stuff to her live. She doesn't seem to enjoy performing (or perhaps it's the type of songs that is holding her back). It'd be interesting to hear something more up-beat perhaps?
|
she sounds like napoleon dynamites brother

I just can't stand her lyrics. They are some of the most cliché lines I've ever heard.
But the music is wonderful. |
Lana Del Rey is having an awesome 2012. I've been seeing her everywhere. Her music is really good, in my opinion. I don't think her lyrics are that bad. Paradise is an album with great lyricism. Her image is perfect for the sound and even if it's staged, it's pretty hot!

I can't get enough of Off to the Races.

Blue Velvet by Lana del Rey
I love her but her concert in London is already sold out. Her version of is amazing
|
Not a big fan. Yesterday the cashier at Rasputin Music gave me a free 7" single though. A-side: "Ride"
B-side: A never before heard remix of one of her songs. Will bust out the record player and see if these two songs are any good or not. |
my issue with lana has nothing to do with her music: wtf plastic surgery! it's weird. seeing her before and after pics changed my ability to listen to her songs in an unbiased way.
that said, I love "blue jeans." the intro on that track is absolutely lovely. |
She has no substance.

Anyway, I don't care about that, I like her music. |

Thanks! |

Is her first album any good? Should I get it? Her persona is fascinating to me, she's like a character from a novel. |

I was 100% sure I'd already posted on this but because I didn't, here I am.
I love Lana. I'm not obsessed with her and if I'm being honest I've only heard a couple of her songs. Not to be hipster but I listened to Born To Die for the first time while I was doing a photo shoot with my model pretty much covered in fake blood. It made the feeling so much more surreal and really got her in the mood, too because she had been having some self-doubts. Apart from that, I've listened to Video Games as well and it's probably my favorite song of the Mainstream-Pop genre. So I don't mind her one bit, or her appearance for that matter because it hasn't seemed to have affected her singing talent. |
