Not a big fan. Yesterday the cashier at Rasputin Music gave me a free 7" single though. A-side: "Ride"
B-side: A never before heard remix of one of her songs.

Will bust out the record player and see if these two songs are any good or not.

my issue with lana has nothing to do with her music: wtf plastic surgery! it's weird. seeing her before and after pics changed my ability to listen to her songs in an unbiased way.

that said, I love "blue jeans." the intro on that track is absolutely lovely.

She has no substance.

 But her lips are full of collagen.
Anyway, I don't care about that, I like her music.

She looks way better than she did before though.

Is her first album any good? Should I get it? Her persona is fascinating to me, she's like a character from a novel.

I picked up a cheap used copy of her Born To Die album, the double disc Paradise Edition. As far as mainstream FM radio pop goes, it's okay. I have to admit the music is sometimes infectious and her vocals more bearable than not. The lyrics aren't the best but I've heard much worse in mainstream pop. Still, you might want to hear online samples before investing.

I was 100% sure I'd already posted on this but because I didn't, here I am.

I love Lana. I'm not obsessed with her and if I'm being honest I've only heard a couple of her songs. Not to be hipster but I listened to Born To Die for the first time while I was doing a photo shoot with my model pretty much covered in fake blood. It made the feeling so much more surreal and really got her in the mood, too because she had been having some self-doubts.

Apart from that, I've listened to Video Games as well and it's probably my favorite song of the Mainstream-Pop genre. So I don't mind her one bit, or her appearance for that matter because it hasn't seemed to have affected her singing talent.
