So I got drunk last night and put on some Lana Del Rey playlist while playing Dark Souls 2. Good music, really love her voice and the general vibe of her music, although I can't say I listened much to the lyrics. It would be interesting to see her do a straight trip hop album in the vein of Portishead.

I would put in third place with Ultraviolence being first....still very good and very "Lana"

highlights for me are easily High On The Beach, Art Deco, Music To Watch Boys To, 24 and Terrence Loves You

Yes, I'd agree with that Pete. Another thing I'd like to see her do is an Americana/Alt-Country album.

I just can't get into this at all. High By The Beach and Freak are great, but everything else is just too dull and slow.

Seriously, what happened to her beats? They're absent from half the album.

I was kind of hoping Lana Del Rey would be like when I was getting into sushi and I just told my more knowledgeable friends to order whatever they liked but not tell me what was in it. Fortunately when I discovered it contained ingredients I wouldn't normally eat under different circumstances I was able to look past that and just remember the good times of trying it at the beginning.

While listening to a random mix on YouTube while drunk and trying not to die in Dark Souls is a bit different to the sushi experiment, I can't say I'm getting the same results now that I have the albums and have been listening to them on and off for a few days.
