Default Kimbra

I have to introduce you guys to Kimbra if you haven't heard of her already. She has gained international attention since her duet with Goyte for the track Somebody That I Used To Know. I've missed a chance seeing her live but will keep and eye out from now on. Here are some of her singles:

She looks like a stable Lady Gaga. She can do anything, it seems, but has a very artistically sound (and sane) appeal to her. Cute face, soothing voice, and creative pipes. She's gonna be good. I think Gotye really helped to launch her into the public.

Why is this thread so dead? Kimbra is amazing - I had the chance to see her live when I was in New Zealand last year. Admittedly, I only discovered her through her appearance on Gotye's song released in the middle of last year but now I am hooked.

I don't see how they're related. I'd think she's a sharp right from, say, a Regina Spektor or Fiona Apple.

this really reminds me of the stuff they played all over in the early 90's in the US.

love Kimbra. I saw her live with Gotye in March, and then a day later doing a headline show in a small bar. It was an amazing experience, and the second night she played "Withdraw" which has to be one of the best things I have ever seen live.

I bought her record this week. She's miles better than Gotye, who she firmly rode in on.

That said, I think her record is only okay so far. Two Way Street and Good Intent are superb, though.

I only like the three songs posted in this thread from her new album, but I might go back to her because I really love the vibe and atmosphere of Cameo Lover.

I definitely think Kimbra's going to gain so much more recognition now. I can't post the video links since I don't have 15 posts yet on here, but my two of my favorites that feature her that weren't posted yet are definitely Warrior (with Mark Foster & A-Trak) and Miami Horror's I Look To You, check those out in Youtube if you're interested.
