Some info, it's been 15 years... lol, and they are nowhere near being "over". The first single wasn't so strong, but the rest of the album kicks butt... reserve your opinion till you hear that, at least that's what I suggest.

By the way:

Backstreet Boys - Unbreakable [Retail] + Bonus Tracks
Our Artist Of the Month the Backstreet Boys are back and are releasing thier sixth studio album "Unbreakable". This is the first Backstreet Boys album that Kevin Richardson is not involved with, but didn't let that stop them. I know alot of you aren't to fond of the boys being back, but I respect that they've been able to stick around for many years. They proved that people were still interested in them when they released "Never Gone" in 05, and thier back to prove it again. I really enjoyed thier last album, and this one proved no diffrent. It's really a well-rounded album filled with great piano-driven ballads, midtempos, and uptempos to complete it. I'm glad to hear that they've grown as a group, and are trying diffrent things. It's a good pop album that should not be missed, deff check it out and BUY YOUR COPY OCTOBER 27TH(UK)! & 30TH(US)!!

1. Intro
2. Everything But Mine
3. Inconsolable
4. Something That I Already Know
5. Helpless When She Smiles

I wonder how much you know about them... haha, they are far from manufactured. They've struggled for years before they became famous. Read a little and you may learn more.

I like them, because it's good music that I can listen to at any time. You may want to take a listen to Unbreakable before you start slamming people.

One more thing. I'd like to see you sell 75 million records, and be a world-wide phenomenon. Manufactured my Butt!

The reason they struggled to become famous is proof that they are manufactured. Boy bands became popular and so they got signed.

How does struggling prove them being manufactured, you have no proof they were manufactured, except for your opinion. Haha! They were around before the boy-band days, and they became popular because their music sold. Oh, they are still around... btw.

Then why'd their first no. 1 album appear right when teen pop was becoming prevalent again? And what else does anyone have besides their opinion?

Although I don't trust Wikipedia in general, it says there that some boy band manager got some auditions going to find himself a new band to make massive. I don't know about anybody else but that fits my description for a manufactured band.

Them being manufactured doesn't make a difference to me (I just don't like their music) but I thought I'd add to the discussion anyway.

Ah, the Backstreet Boys. That name alone brings up so many fun memories of carefree childhood youth, let alone those classic songs like Backstreet's Back and I Want It That Way. But their new stuff, especially their NEWEST stuff sounds so... for the lack of a better word... dull.

I did listen to Millenium, Black and Blue (both are on my mp3 player right now with really hard driving rock), and Never Gone before listening to the entire Unbreakable album that's downloadable on MSN Entertainment at the time of this post. With that, I can definitely say that the spark that was there in those albums has definitely been broken.

It's saying something when a fan who's followed them from the very beginning says this... I wanted to gouge my eardrums out when I listened to this album because their singing could not make up for the crappy music that's unfortunately been attached to them.

I was going to audition to be a Backstreet Boy and thought I would be a shoe-in as the quiet sexy one with the girlish good looks, but then I thought naw it all seems more than a little gay. Not to mention it may be a little off putting with me taking a GG Allin style shit in the centre of the stage every night
