I get what you're saying, and I'd agree, but the way you phrase it is rather insulting to the actual listeners of the genre, to be fair.

**** any listeners of the genre. Don't stick up for them. This music is past retarded and has no substance at all. Anyone who listens to this shit deserves a good insulting post or two.

Okay, probably an accurate descriptive of my personality, it was still from the heart.
I don't understand how anyone who enjoys music enough to consistently go on a web site can find an appreciation for this. There is maybe a dozen words in each song, not that it's an automatic deterrent by any means, "we found love in a hopeless place" only has seven words and is a really strong pop song. It's just the beat never does anything; it's horribly boring, especially when you have to listen to him repeat very simple catch phrases like "girl look at that body" in a generic monotone. Probably with the intention that snarky humour would remain intact if the song were to be sampled briefly for a ad or reality tv show. It's pretty crazy that they needed the aid of outside writers to come up with that. These two guys are more mannequins to promote clothing lines and feature appearances, I have yet to be able to notice any musical talent nor originality personality mannerisms or cadence. I'll give Kesha as at least having some miniscule form of individualism in her persona, you can't say the same for these guys. Seriously, do you just "party rock" in your room until real world challenges comes on tv? I love to party rock This stuff is just lame. It's a joke, I get it, but it's going on to long. When 2 of the 3 radio stations I get that aren't country or classical, are playing party rockers at the same ****ing time it drives me crazy and seriously just ****s the flow of my life more then any other **** music I have no idea, I hope that the entirety of the genre isn't this bad, I haven't listened to enough of it to form a sound (pun!) opinion on it yet. As if the lyrics have anything to do with it. Who gives a **** if rihannas song has 7 words. 90% of the songs I listen to have no lyrics. I'm not saying lyrics are **** before someone hits me with 'the greatest radiohead lyrics evar' I'm just saying they're not necessarily needed for a song to be good. Who also gives a **** if lmfao are ****? I listen to them on my way to work and I don't mind it because I'm not a picky bastard like the rest of this damned forum.

So you can tolerate utterly repulsive crap like LMFAO, that doesn't necessarily make you more open minded.
It's fair to dislike music if a large part of the content of it (the lyrics) is bad, especially combined with the beat, which is also at best passable. If my musical vernacular was better i could probably come up with technical reasons why its bad. |

Erm, I'd like to think I was open minded to most music actually.
So because I fairly don't mind them and you hate them, surely if I'm adding 2 and 2 together properly... You should have a better taste in music then aye? I'm guessing you're a radiohead fan. You sound just like one.
