Top 40 is mostly annoying, not fun. There's only "fun" in a few odd songs (e.g. Party in the USA, , Sean Kingston's Replay.

even background music I listen to need some "artistic merit".....
you sir, need to learn how to jig better than because I can to any Top 40 song.

Sure, they may seem annoying to you but there are some fun ones to dance to atm

yeahx3 from Chris Brown, Blow from Ke$ha, Higher from Taio Cruz, S&M from Rihanna, etc. I could go on but I won't

Well, you are a music snob like the rest of us here so of course your background music needs artistic merit.

i can dance to funk, disco, hip-hop and most electronica, but Top 40 - it's far too annoying to dance to and enjoy - maybe Top 40 in the Nineties with all that Eurodisco, not current Top 40

There's nothing wrong with the current Top 40. Plenty of songs I like. If people want to like mainstream music then they're more than entitled to. Just as people are allowed to listen to more niche music. It's a free country, a democracy and we can listen to what we like within reason of course. I'm someone that will listen to a wide range of music.

I think you missed the point. It went viral because most people find it terrible and hilarious.

The fact that this thread and the Justin Bieber thread have probably been the 2 most posted in threads dedicated to one artist on the entire forum over the past few months makes me sad.

Well yeah, that's true. But was that the idea?
I mean, how could they guarantee it would go viral?

You rule. But I usually see you listening to proper music.
So... explain?
