I think she is waaaaaaaaay too underrated. People get really snobby about her music but I actually think shes a pretty good songwriter.

Plus she plays guitar, piano and drums live. She never mimes and I've never seen her use autotune. She doesn't use her body to sell her music either, she uses her talent.

She has a new album out in March 2011 and a single which shes singing live on New Years Eve! The single is called "What the Hell" - theres a preview on YouTube but I can't link it up because I'm new ):
Talent is a strong word for Avril. She is popular and is what I call a demographic success. Don't know to many 35 year old men that like her. She is trite and mondane and can't play a guitar. She plays simple music 101 chords. Commercial music today is just awful. It is just music for the masses. She is very limited. Selling many albums does not make you good. I can go to any club in America and hear a bunch of musicians that blow her out of the water. It is funny how brainwashed America is. It's just like American Idol. Just because your on TV does not make you good, you just have a bit of clout that won't last long. Music changes and Avril will not exist in the next wave of teenie girls that come along because the music will be different and hopefully improve.
