Do not...I repeat...do NOT mention Wak...Wak... (ugh! So hard to say! The pain! The pain!!!) in my presence if you know what's good for you, Corfe.

Please, for the love of me, let's talk about Bieber's "Baby" song again, even if it tortures Vanilla. Anything but Shakira. I should have never brought up her music.

She co-wrote with a producer actually...which isn't much different from a lead singer getting input from their band when writing a song.

Anyway, will respond to more posts in this thread alter, not quite enough time now.

You know the quality of a thread is high when you open it on topic A, and by page 4 we're discussing a different artist.

I was more just talking about the fact that it was based off of:

I know it's different, but actually, I'd probably have this one on my iPhone before Shakira's version. I LOVE cultural music, which is why I love the African influence in Shakira's song.

There's popular bands that I listen to like Counting Crows, Coldplay, and Dave Matthews Band. Though with Counting Crows I stick to older material.. same with Dave Matthews Band. I remember liking James Blunt when I heard him on the European MTV Music Awards. Yeah, that went downhill fast. Our radio has a way of completely gutting enjoyment from anything and everything. You like this song? Good! We were planning on playing it 4-5 times a day for the next couple of months.
The thing is that playing song over and over doesn't make the song bad, it just gets us sick of the song. I've done that with countless albums/songs/artists on my own.

I write short non-fiction essays!

And they deal with music, too...sometimes. For example, observe:

MY ESSAY ABOUT JUSTIN BIEBER:
Bieber: he sings! He dances! He sings and dances! Sometimes he dances first. And then he sings. Occasionally he sings and dances and sings and dances. Often he does them together. And girls love him! Do they ever love him! Oh, the love! This concludes my essay on Justin Bieber.
That was the best essay I've ever read. =P You're so funny. xD

The fact there are high schools full of freshman in drama clubs who are just as equally as talented across the world makes it very acceptable to ignore, and dismiss his talent. He was fine as an internet fad, he wasn't even the best one of the massive series of "kid who can play an instrument really well".

I think it's really annoying that people think artists have to play an instrument to be talented. He can sing and he can dance.
Most people CAN'T dance that well, and so he's talented.
