I like both equally. But I always thought that the Beach Boys were more concentrated on one genre i.e. Surf (at least the early Beach Boys) and The Beatles were explorative of genres. Both have their plus and minuses, you could say the (early) Beach Boys were more consistent album-wise.

I like Pet Sounds more than anything the Beatles ever released; but I believe as a whole the Beatles were probably the better band. Which makes it incredibly difficult to vote on this one. I am going to vote the Beatles, but it could really go either way.

Musically, I prefer Beach Boys. With all my respect for the Beatles obviously.

Most of the Beatles videos I put here have been deleted. Can't find much Beatles on Youtube anymore.

the Beatles all the way. I really think the beach boys are overrated.I have respect for them and their album pet sounds. but they didn't have the impact on music that the Beatles did. there was a progression in the Beatles music which showed their ability as musicians and songwriters and their genius.

Beach Boys. I like Beatles, and I admit Sgt. Pepper is better than Pet Sounds. But I think Beach Boys' best albums are consecutively better than Beatles' best.

couldn't DISAGREE more. the only great album the beach boys came out with was pet sounds. while the majority of the beatles albums are great.

Smile Sessions, Sunflower, and Surf's Up. Definite greats.

Not necessarily, for the first half of the 60's both stayed in their respective pop niches, Beatles in Merseybeat and Beach Boys in Vocal Surf. It was only when Beatles started adventuring out when Brian Wilson was inspired to follow in their footsteps.
