The Beatles by far for the variety & experimentation of music. The Beach Boys (just like the Bee Gee's) have fantastic vocals & harmonies. Paul McCartney does rate Pet Sounds a phenomenal album. I believe Rubber Soul came out about the same time and it was Rubber Soul that transformed the Beatles to serious musicians. Both bands are fantastic. A tough but great question. Paul
