Tom Waits is better too.

And bob Dylan is better than any of them.

I still like Parks more in a sense, but I really should listen to more Dylan.

Overall I will have to give it to The Beatles.

Hell, even Zappa recognized what Dylan did. He once said:

"Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues was a monster record. I heard that thing and I was jumping all over the car. And then when I heard the one after that, "Like a Rolling Stone", I wanted to quit the music business because I felt if this wins and does what it's supposed to do, I don't need to do anything. It sold, but nobody really responded to it the way that they should have."

Just comparing those two songs, I'd give it to the Beach Boys by an extremely wide margin.

That's just crazy. I'd say youd have to be old fashion and uptight to like that beach boys songs better. And possibly be wearing a chastity belt. But opinions are like *******s. How can anyone not be bored to death by "good vibrations"?

"Old fashioned and uptight" to like the elaborately composed song with the experimental instrumentation over the much more straightforward, conventional song? How so?

Incidentally, I like "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", I just think it's a "good song" versus a masterpiece in this particular comparison.
