Default Mono

I did the search, and found a thread about a band called Mono, but not this band. Although this Mono was mentioned in that thread, I think they deserve a thread of their own. The band has had only one album called "Formica Blues" before they split up. They were known for their song "Life in mono" which was also covered by a spice girl (her version sucks). Anyway, here's a link to a wikipedia article about Mono, if anyone's interested in reading it Mono (UK band) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and their video for "Life in mono." Enjoy

Very nice, I like the string section's progression of thirds early on in the song... I've not heard this but it's excellent, and definitely does have a spy-film kinda vibe about it, I'll have to add this to my collection

Have you heard Lovage? It's quite reminiscent of them (though Lovage seem to be always in heat) and of course Portishead... Roads is currently playing in my Winamp and it's a great accompaniment to a lazy day
