I'm not that familiar with the groups you mentioned, mordwyr, but my go-to indie pop recommendation is Fleet Foxes. They've got a folky sound -- their harmonies sound rather like CSN(Y), in my opinion -- with psychedelic and occasionally progressive elements. Try their eponymous album.

Fleet Foxes is excellent. Caught them at Glastonbury last summer! They seem to be more folk than pop, though.

I'd like to add Walk On The Moon to the list. "Anna Sun" is a great, upbeat, dance worthy song. The video cures what is giving you the blues.

Default The Omega Tribe

This summer for me is all about ol skool (80's & 90's) Japanese Funk & Pop jams. So when I discovered the 1986 Omega Tribe band It didn't take long for me to fall in love with em. The Omega Tribe was a very popular 80's Japanese J-pop band only really got started in 1983. Gotta say my favorite tracks are "Super Chance", "Reiko" and "Stay girl, pure girl". They are like Japanese version of the Beach boys due to what they mostly sing about.

Heard this number on the radio and it stuck in my head for most of the day. Pretty sure it's pop?

Heard this on the radio for the first time in a long, long time a couple of days ago, and it's still in my head. I'm gonna have to get the album. I really love it.
