Operator Please
Operator Please are an Australian pop band and when I first saw them live the youngest member was about 15 years old and I remember thinking that was pretty amazing. A few years later and they're still around, still pretty much kids but doing pretty well for themselves. Probably won't be everyone's cup of tea but I remember thinking how great it was to see a fresh young pop act who play all of their own instruments and create such catchy pop songs at such a young age.

Initially I was kind of set against them because of how much I disliked A Song About Ping Pong, but everything else I've heard from then on has only warmed me towards them. I'm probably never going to be a huge fan, but I am keen to see them live some day.

Yeah I hated that ping pong song too, but they're not rubbish apart from that. Have seen them a few times at various festivals although they're usually on early in the day and I'm queing for a beer I can happily nod along while doing so, I like... Leave it Alone and their new track that's on the radio is not bad don't know what it's called though. The singer sounds alot like Katy Steele from Little Birdy don't yas reckon.
Props to you Lateralus for many a fine thread on local produce, have you put one up for Gyroscope? If not I should. I'll go look cheerio.
