Haha. The song you're talking about is "Loverboy". I loved that video when I was a kid. Very Star Wars-ish

The 80's was just as awful. Who gives a **** if there is mainstream music out there, I don't mind listening to it sometimes, such as Lady Gaga, Coldplay, and MGMT. Just get over the fact that other people love the type of music, hence it's "popular" and get on with your own music tastes. People need to stop acting like they are better than others because they don't like mainstream music.

I agree. This is kind of off topic but what exactly is going on in your avatar?

I know! Flight of the Concord is one of my favourite shows. Have you seen it?

I am so upset they aren't doing the show anymore! That show is pure comic genius.

And their songs are actually really good!

I'm in love with their music. Too bad the show's not on anymore :(

Dancing_Princess18 04-02-2010 09:51 PM

I am not going to bash Bieber because everyone has their own taste and respect in music and I wouldn't like someone to bash my favorite artist but I don't like Bieber or his music style. I think hes trying to act a little to old then what he really is to the point it is a joke, but he isn't a horrible singer. I've herd much worse like most of the contestants who audition for American Idol!

If you would go back and read the thread, there aren't exactly many Bieber fans. I don't hate the music, I strongly dislike it, because I feel like I've heard it too many times, just from a different artist, if you get what I mean.

MDietrich 04-04-2010 04:57 PM

My thoughts on Justin Beiber? Well he looks much younger than he is, and he's not a very good looking boy anyway so I don't see the big thing. But let the tweens enjoy his music - I'd say he's better than The Backstreet Boys at least.

scottsy 04-04-2010 09:41 PM

I think we'd best leave Mr. Bieber to his tween fanbase... there's probably no way that a person like me, at age 34 years is going to be able to understand the popularity of this kid.... I think I'll let this board slide of my UserCP and leave this kids music to it's audience.... kids.

Farfisa 04-05-2010 04:17 PM

My thoughts? I didn't even know he existed till a week ago. I could care less about what goes on in the music world these days, there is always some new pre-teen act every two or so years. The fact is I'm so disconnected in the world of trends and music I don't hear about someone like Bieber till he's run his course... ain't I lucky?

keith! 04-06-2010 03:02 PM

he actually lives near me (well used to)

lots of my female friends even got to meet him before he was famous. now they brag about it but whateves, I think he's terrible.

Astronomer 04-25-2010 10:08 PM

Okay so I tried to find a YouTube video of this but I couldn't.

Apparently in Sydney, Australia, Bieber's concert was cancelled due to increased fan hysteria. When the hoards of pubescent girls found out they went absolutely mental, the footage include ambulance officers having to lay down several girls on stretchers while they basically had panic attacks and were crying. What the ****?! They then proceeded to march down to the studio where Bieber was located, chasing the van he was in... etc.

This 'Justin Bieber fever' is just ridiculous.

FETCHER. 04-26-2010 07:23 AM

That's unbelievable. Horrible even. WTF?!

That sounds crazier than what the Beatles went through!

It's true, I'm in Australia. Scenes of devastation when those girls found out show was cancelled. It was like Saturday night Bieber, they had a bieber they couldn't sweat out. Leave it to bieber to create such pandimonium

Errrrrrrr. I'd never heard of the hairy arsed little schoolkid till that Aussie fiasco.

BBC News - Security fears as Justin Bieber heads to New Zealand

I also want to know why all of these tweens are running a muck in the city totally unaccompanied by parents or adults.

The world has gone mad.

I never knew who he was before Radio Disney started playing him (don't judge!), and some of you mentioned his YouTube channel- I just listened to a couple clips. Okay, he's talented. I don't mind his songs on the radio- some are kind of catchy- but he does nothing for me, just pleasant background music, really. I wonder if they'll ever have him playing instruments, or just dancing...? I mean, if he's that musically inclined, it's almost a waste to not let him play, unless Justin doesn't want to...?

I think that that's actually a really good point. Justin made himself a YouTube channel years ago, and so he slowly but surely made a name for himself online, and then got signed. Good for him.

:) Thank you. I love pop music, and it's so easy for people to rag on it...just enjoy what you enjoy, and let others enjoy what they enjoy.

I don't have time to read the article now, but someone read me one about it yesterday, and I mean, it sucks that it got canceled, what with the fans already being there and all... *shrug*
