I've not read this thread through but my immediate thoughts is that he should die a slow painful death.

Oh and Usher is a paedophile.

Insane Guest 03-25-2010 03:44 PM

Well that's one way to view it. I wouldn't go that for but something more like falling onstage and breaking his nose.

Roemilca 03-25-2010 04:40 PM

Or his manager getting fired.
...Oh wait....

This too would be satisfying.

I'll be honest, I know people his age that are way more talented, way more down to earth and a lot less annoying. Ah well, that's how the world works.

Stone Birds 03-26-2010 02:54 PM

or maybe a lawsuit regarding all the 60's teeny pop songs he ripped off

Scarlett O'Hara 03-26-2010 08:06 PM

He has a good singing voice but I swear to God he sounds like a girl. He needs to drop his balls.

His speaking voice is kind of raspy.

xi.heart.fobx 03-28-2010 07:22 PM

Ok he's not 12 lol... I don't really like his music but the kid is talented. He can sing and he self taught himself how to play like a gazillion instraments. Yes his music is very middle school but who cares...

actually when he hits puberty he'll probably use all of his fame, cause his only "talents" (word is used lightly) will be lost: singing high-pitched and looking like female version of an actual guy

FETCHER. 03-29-2010 11:29 AM

I actually despise the kid. I have no idea why either. I've never heard any of his songs. I just hate his girly little face.

But the point is that there are kids much more talented than him, that deserve it a lot more. I saw a kid who lives on the street with an old strat, and a old beat up Vox battery powered amp. One of the best guitarists I have ever seen. He is a spoiled little brat, that is made famous by teenage girls. Take The Jonas Brothers as another example.

xi.heart.fobx 03-29-2010 06:27 PM

Actually justin bieber isn't spoiled. His father left him and his mother alone... ran off. Its his talent that got him noticed. At 10yrs old the kid had taught himself to play the drums, guitar and piano. And he can sing. Of course there are people who deserve to be noticed. Maybe that kid playin his guitar should post a vid on youtube :)

FETCHER. 03-29-2010 06:30 PM

yeah, not spoiled at all.

Justin Bieber News - Justin Bieber Drives A $200,000 Car Just Like The Rest... - Celebuzz

xi.heart.fobx 03-29-2010 07:16 PM

He is a celebrity now... if u were rich you'd buy **** like that too lol I was talking about before he was famous... pay attention.

FETCHER. 03-29-2010 07:26 PM

I barely think that he bought that car himself. He probably doesn't have access to his money. I mean what kind of **** is a 15yr old going to spend all his money on?

well thanks phobo or whatever ur name is... lol sorry.

He's still a smarmy little ****. Car or no car.

toilnaa 03-29-2010 07:48 PM

I was listening to Bieber earlier today and found myself remarkably unimpressed with his voice. It is good enough for him to go somewhere as long as he is marketed and has good direction --- but he is not a phenom. He is a cutie and so, he'll ride looks with a little talent - not the first.

Point is, Life Sucks and it is Unfair. Spoiled or no, he is still just another 30 minute pop star. His songs are absolutely horrible, they are repetitive, and sound like any other pop song talking about a certain girl. Sure, he may be talented, but just because his dad left him he is not spoiled?

Like I said, he is being made famous by a bunch of teenage girls.

scottsy 03-29-2010 10:19 PM

I wonder how he will be looked back upon.... you'd have to be a really sad puppy to look back on your life and say "yeah, that Justin Bieber song, that totally changed my life"...

i seem to remember another group who were made popular by little more than teenage girls who were supposed to go away once their minute in the spotlight was up.

not comparing the artists, just don't deny the power of teenage girls on pop culture.

soo well said!!! props to youmr. dave :)!

My point was he wasnt some spoiled rich kid that got famous for no reason. And just because his songs suck doesnt take his talent away. Call me crazy but being able to play the drums, the guitar and the piano and play them well... thats a talent to me. Hes just turned 16, what is he supposed to sing about?? His songs are innocent, he has a good voice and he seems like a good person.

Are you telling me that if you posted a vid on youtube singing and playing intsraments and then a famous music artist noticed you.. you wouldnt take it up because there is some other kid that more talented then you?? you would turn it down??

youngbridge 03-30-2010 12:39 PM

I don't care for Justin Bieber. I wouldn't say that he is particularly good at all. But he's for a specific demographic, one that i'm not a member of anymore, a demographic that has had mediocre to downright bad music (as long as the person performing the music is attractive) marketed at them for decades now. It's nothing new. So, i'm pretty indifferent toward him and his music. He is making someone a whole lotta money, and I suppose that's the point.

He does look like a lesbian though.

Insane Guest 03-30-2010 01:14 PM

Thing is, chances that you will become famous these days are slim to none, so when they do find someone it might as well be good. You just get happy when someone speaks for Bieber, listen to the good people. Bieber sucks. So what if he could play guitar and piano, walk into a Guitar Center and you will see many people who have talent to spare. Think about this: A bunch of teenage girls are a fan of a pop star. But another band that has talent, only has half the fans, LOYAL fans, that will stick with the group, not just for a while like half of th pop stars these days. So who do you think will make it big?

right, but their actual talent and creativity only came to light after their initial surge to popularity thanks to teenage girls around the world. or do you actually put 'i wanna hold your hand' on the same level as 'a day in the life'?

as for the whole 'woe! it's not fair that talent is being ignored' angle. suck it up. yes, the people at guitar center are talented, same as all the other people hanging out at every other guitar center around the world, funny thing happens when everyone has the same talent. it becomes routine and boring. does running excite you nearly as much as it did when you were 2 and it was still totally new to you? playing a bunch of riffs on a guitar gets old eventually too.

EVERY town has one of 'those' kids with oodles of untapped talent. yet most of the time no one (including the individual) makes realistic steps towards exploiting that talent, and that's really what needs to be done - exploitation of talent. some people can handle it, some people don't mind having one truly special aspect of their metaphysical being run through a machine for the benefit of others, and, well, more power to them.

if you really don't care about the mainstream and are only interested in pursuing personal creative endeavors then it shouldn't really matter who's getting publicity in the mainstream. if it does, then you really need to do some soul searching to figure out which side of the issue you're lying to yourself about.

Insane Guest 03-30-2010 04:46 PM

Thing is, mainstream sucks now a days. I know what you are tring to say, it's just that it sucks. But life sucks so...

welcome to having a clue. :thumb:

the mainstream has always sucked to those not part of the target demographic.

IWP 04-01-2010 09:58 AM

Mainstream music should go back to the way it was back in the 80s. That probably won't happen though. =(

Insane Guest 04-01-2010 10:00 AM

Yeah, that's just a fantasyworld at this point.

Well, the problem is that good music does not sell. Consumers buying Justin Bieber's album don't care about good or bad. They care about peach fuzz, blue eyes, falsettos, and autotune. If this was not true good acts would be famous/mainstream. I don't blame record companies - they are a business, and like any other their reason for existing is to make that $crilla - the problem is the consumers who demand music like this. All you can do is teach your children well, then push them out into that big, bad Bieber world and hope they make the right choice.

Why? Are Cinderella and Billy Ocean really any better than what's popular today.

Rule no 1

The reason mainstream music from your youth/childhood seemed better was because you were thick as pigshit back then.
