fun.
just to quote my blog since I don't feel like writing them up again:
"In today's world pop has come to be regarded as a somewhat negative term by people. This should stop. Aim and Ignite is an intensely layered pop album that is really one of the best releases this year. The pleasant sounding voice of Nate Ruess (formerly of The Format) and the great instrumentation by Andrew Dost (formerly of Anathallo, another personal fav) make this work an admirable debut. I read their website here and saw how great their band dynamic is. Hopefully they can keep it up and pump out more great, FUN tunes." Great debut album and I think they can keep it up. Thoughts? |
Have never heard of this group before but... I like! Very 'fun' and interesting, ha. You're definitely right when you say that the genre of 'pop' generally has mostly negative connotations attached to it, but I'm hearing more and more indie pop artists such as these guys who are bringing a lot of talent to the genre and proving wrong most of those negative associations.
Very nice. Will have to check out their debut, I think. |
Notbad, just not my cup of tea. Sounds alot like Panic at the disco.

except without an annoying singer and with talented instumentalists ;)

sounds good, im not sure if i like the violin though.
the song in the second video sounds like vampire weekend to me. |
How can you dislike the violin? It's not even a major part of the song. And Vampire Weekend wish they could craft melodies as well as fun.
