Someone deleted my comment?

In the all important Ke$ha thread?

That's pretty good stuff guys, keep it up.

^^^^What was the comment? Most of the comments here are overly-judgemental and lacking in intelligence, so I'm not surprised comments are being deleted. This forum has a serious case of pophobia.

Maybe you should have tried splitting it into two words ;)

Yeah I'm curious about what you said too haha :D

Dr.Seussicide 09-08-2010 05:08 PM

It was an alteration of Big3's quote.

Ummm, no. What I did isn't unheard of with these kind of compounds. There is a reason why homophobia, claustrophobia, bromidrosiphobia and basically any phobia in existence are not divided with a hyphen. So...:whythis:

Which I'm sure was lacking in substance else you would have related the message exactly as you had written it instead of giving a vague description.

But it reads pophobia, which is pronounced po-phobia, I believe you meant pop phobia, but let's digress from semantics a bit.

It doesn't really matter though, it was basically off topic banter, which occurs in threads, believe it or not.

Btw, Kesha doesn't piss me off as much as one would think. I am actually of the opinion that tik tok was quite catchy, but I haven't really cared for much else and am most likely too drunk to notice her in clubs. But she doesn't really irk me that much besides the spelling of her name, which btw, is atrocious.

i like ke$ha. I am sure that I have made this argument before on here but I am going to make it again.

I am doing the college thing right now at a state school in new york. I go into a party and hear ke$ha. I am singing along with everyone else. Decent beats, simple melodies. It needs to be accepted for what it is.

I never go out of my way to listen to it but I like it. I would not call it good music but I would not call it bad. Bad music, for me, is pretention, insincerity, or really improper execution. Ke$ha's music set out to do something and did.

That being said. I agree that there are some ke$ha songs that fit exactly into the afformentioned category of "bad music." and that needs to be acknowledged as well.

But (before my point totally escapes me) ke$ha's music is, ultimately, effective. It is meant for dancing with a really watered down beer in one hand and a girl (that you met 15 minutes ago while she asked you for a cigarette after yakking everywhere) in the other. It is not timeless, nor will it be remembered to any really extent by anyone but the people that it was made for but that is ok. You don't have to like it or agree with the lifestyle but it is not some social plague or ultimate evil. It is what it is.

Man, listen! I've heard Kesha, not much tho, but I gotta say that from the stuff that i know => she's good! To my mind she's better than Lady Gaga i'll give you that, and i'm willing to argue on that point! =))
