I suppose if I had titties, I'd flash 'em ... more cos it looks like fun than cos I want anyone's respect (not a commodity I worry about much) ... few things stop a room in its tracks more completely than a sudden flash of titties (right?) ... but you are unlikely to see me wagging my **** around ... not that it would get me any fans or respect either if I did

as for ladies makin music, I like Jesse Sykes real well, also Amanda Jo Williams (tho I play in her band so I'm a little biased there) and in a more abstract genre I enjoy OOIOO quite a lot. Also Nikka Costa in more of a pop/soul bag - her I think it was most recent record (with Can't Please Everybody on it) was really really groovily nice

The only thing Bikini Kill inspired was to inspire middle class suburban teenage feminists into make shitty grungy punk rock.

Bikini Kill was part of an amazing movement to try and gain
more rights for humanity in general. First wave brought about
obvoise rights like the right to vote for example, second wave
gave us rights in the work place but wanted to censore everyone
and third wave said **** you guys say what ever you want I have
personal impowerment. Bikini Kill even wrote sl** on thier arms
to show it's just a word. Third wave feminism wanted people to
be able to be like Lady Gaga and still have all the same respects
as everyone else.
I thank my sisters for working so hard to give me, men that are under societies thumb and pop stars this empowerment. *cue some silly American pride song*

I don't feel that a girl dancing on a pole naked deserves the same respect as someone working their ass off every day at two jobs. I understand it's probably a better way to make money, but I also don't respect people that sell drugs, for example. In fact, I think you'll find most sluts actually have serious self respect problems, whether you can see it from the outside or not.

"Your sisters", at least as you see it, have given you the right to flash your tits if your want and, as you put it, the likes of Britney and Lady Gaga have used their body to make an absolute load of cash. I recognise that they have the opportunity to do this if they so wish.

However, the point i think you are missing is as soon as your flash your tits to help promote your "music" you LOSE all respect. Talent will earn you respect. If you would rather take a shortcut then fine, but don't expect any respect and that, my friend, has fuck all to do with feminism and equality, thats just common sense.

If this is what you have taken from feminism then "your sisters" would most definitely want to slap some sense into you.
